وَبِسَنَدِهِ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " الْمُتَعَجِّلُ فِي الْجُمُعَةِ كَالْمُهْدِي بَدَنَةً ، وَالَّذِي يَلِيهِ كَالْمُهْدِي الثَّوْرَ ، وَالَّذِي يَلِيهِ كَالْمُهْدِي شَاةً ، وَالَّذِي يَلِيهِ كَالْمُهْدِي دَجَاجَةً " .
With this same chain, he narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The one who goes early to the Friday prayer is like one who sacrifices a camel; the one after him is like one who sacrifices a bull (that is, gives it in charity); the one after him is like one who has a goat sacrificed; and the one after him is like one who sacrifices a hen."
