عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ : كَانَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - ثَوْبَانِ يَلْبَسُهُمَا فِي جُمُعَتِهِ فَإِذَا انْصَرَفَ طَوَيْنَاهُمَا إِلَى مِثْلِهِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الصَّغِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَسَقَطَ مِنَ الْأَصْلِ بَعْضُ رِجَالِهِ ، وَيَدُلُّ عَلَى ذَلِكَ كَلَامُ الطَّبَرَانِيِّ ، فَمِمَّنْ سَقَطَ الْوَاقِدِيُّ وَفِيهِ كَلَامٌ كَثِيرٌ .

Sayyidah Aishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had two garments which he would wear on Friday. When he returned after the prayer, we would fold them away until the next Friday.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. In the original, some of its narrators have dropped out, and al-Tabarani's own words indicate this. Among those who have dropped out is a narrator, al-Waqidi, about whom there has been much criticism.
