وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِأَفْضَلِ الْمَلَائِكَةِ ؟ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ ، وَأَفْضَلُ النَّبِيِّينَ آدَمُ ، وَأَفْضَلُ الْأَيَّامِ يَوْمُ الْجُمُعَةِ ، وَأَفْضَلُ الشُّهُورِ شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ ، وَأَفْضَلُ اللَّيَالِي لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ ، وَأَفْضَلُ النِّسَاءِ مَرْيَمُ بِنْتُ عِمْرَانَ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَفِيهِ نَافِعُ بْنُ هُرْمُزَ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shall I not tell you about the most excellent of the angels? It is Jibril. The most excellent of the prophets is Sayyiduna Adam (peace be upon him); the most excellent of days is the day of Friday; the most excellent of months is the month of Ramadan; the most excellent of nights is the Night of Decree (Laylat al-Qadr); and the most excellent of women is Maryam bint Imran."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Nafi' bin Hurmuz, who is da'if (weak).
