Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 2964

Abu al-Zubayr narrated: I asked Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him): "Did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) offer the Maghrib and Isha prayers together?" He replied: "Yes! When we went out to fight Banu al-Mustaliq (he did so on that occasion)." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: A hadith is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) offered two prayers together at Sarif; Imam Abu Dawud and others recorded it.
Imam Ahmad recorded it, and its chain contains a narrator, Ibn Lahi'ah, about whom there has been criticism.
