عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يُؤْمِنُ عَبْدٌ حَتَّى أَكُونَ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ نَفْسِهِ ، وَأَهْلِي أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ ، وَعِتْرَتِي أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ عِتْرَتِهِ ، وَذَاتِي أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ ذَاتِهِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَالْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، وَهُوَ سَيِّئُ الْحِفْظِ لَا يُحْتَجُّ بِهِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَالْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، وَهُوَ سَيِّئُ الْحِفْظِ لَا يُحْتَجُّ بِهِ .
Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Layla narrates from his father this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "A person is not a believer until I become more beloved to him than his own self, my family more beloved to him than his own family, my kindred ('itrah) more beloved to him than his own offspring, and my person more beloved to him than his own person."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Layla, who has a poor memory and is not taken as evidence.
