Majma al-Zawaid 2949 — One who travels and takes a wife in a town

Abu Ya'la recorded this narration from him: He says: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "When a traveller takes a family in a town, he will be counted among its residents, and he will pray four rak'ahs like the prayer of a resident." (Sayyiduna Uthman Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him) said:) When I came here, I took a family here; that is why I led you in four rak'ahs. Its chain contains a narrator, Ikrimah bin Ibrahim, who is da'if (weak).
