Abu Uthman al-Nahdi says: Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari and his companions set out from Makkah, and Sayyiduna Abu Musa led them in the Maghrib prayer and gave salam after two rak'ahs. Then he stood up, recited three verses of Surah al-Nisa', then went into bowing and prostration, and gave salam. He mentioned this from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) (that this is what should be done in such a situation).
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
