وَعَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ : أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ عَلَى أَخِيهِ عُتْبَةَ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي عَلَى سِوَاكٍ يَرْفَعُهُ إِلَى وَجْهِهِ فَأَخَذَهُ فَرَمَى بِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ : أَوْمِ إِيمَاءً وَلْتَكُنْ رَكْعَتُكَ أَرْفَعَ مِنْ سَجْدَتِكَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .

It is reported about Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that he visited his brother Utbah, who was praying with the support of a miswak which he would raise to his face. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) took the miswak from him and put it aside, and then said: "Pray by gesturing, and in your bowing remain a little higher than in your prostration (that is, do not lower the forehead as much)."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
