Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The sick person should pray standing. If he experiences hardship, he should pray sitting. If he still experiences hardship, he should pray lying down, gesturing with his head. If he experiences hardship even in that, then he should recite tasbih (glorification)."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and says: No one narrated it from Ibn Jurayj except Hils bin Muhammad al-Dab'i. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: I have not found anyone who has given his biography. The remaining narrators of this narration are thiqat (trustworthy).
