Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 287

In al-Mu'jam al-Awsat this narration is reported from him as well. He narrates: A man asked: "O Messenger of Allah! What is sin?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whatever unsettles your heart, leave it!" The man asked: "What is faith?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever is grieved by his evil deed and pleased by his good deed is a believer."
Its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except that its chain contains a narrator, Yahya bin Abi Kathir, who commits tadlis, even though he is among the narrators of the Sahih.
