Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 2791

Ibn al-Qasim said: We sat with Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Abza, and he said: "Shall I not show you (by performing it) the prayer of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?" The narrator said: We said: "Yes, indeed!" So he stood up and said the takbir, then he recited, then he went into bowing and placed both hands on his knees until every bone settled in its place. Then he rose until every bone settled in its place. Then he went into prostration until every bone settled in its place. Then he raised his head until every bone settled in its place. Then he went into prostration until every bone settled in its place. Then he rose and performed the second rak'ah just as he had done in the first rak'ah. Then he said: "This is how the prayer of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was."
Imam Ahmad recorded it; its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
