Abu Khalid, one of the students of Sayyiduna Abdullah, said: A man came to Sayyiduna Abdullah and said: "O Abu Abd al-Rahman, so-and-so recites the Qur'an while bowing, and when he is in prostration he also recites the Qur'an at that time." Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "There will be people who recite the Qur'an but it will not go beyond their throats, whereas it should (go beyond the throat and) enter the heart, settle firmly in it and bring benefit."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except that I have not found anyone who gave the biography of the narrator Abu Khalid.
