وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِذَا صَلَّيْتَ فَلَا تَبْسُطْ ذِرَاعَيْكَ بَسْطَ السَّبُعِ ، وَادْعَمَ عَلَى رَاحَتَيْكَ وَجَافِ مِرْفَقَيْكَ عَنْ ضَبْعَيْكَ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you pray, do not spread out your forearms the way a beast of prey spreads them; support yourself on your palms, and keep your elbows away from your sides."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
