Abu al-Aliyah relates: The one who heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say this informed me: "Every surah has its own share of bowing (ruku') and prostration (sujud)." The narrator relates: Later I met him and said: "Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar used to recite several surahs in one rak'ah; so do you know who narrated this hadith to you?" He said: "I know him, and I also know how long ago he narrated this hadith to me. He narrated this hadith to me fifty years ago."
Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
