Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 2668

Sayyiduna Wa'il bin Hujr relates that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), when he recited 'not of those who earned anger, nor of those who went astray', say: "O my Lord, forgive me. Amin." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:
Ibn Majah recorded it, but he did not record these words: "O my Lord, forgive me."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Ahmad bin Abd al-Jabbar al-Utaridi, whom al-Daraqutni (may Allah have mercy on him) declared thiqah (trustworthy); Abu Kurayb praised him, and a group declared him da'if (weak). Ibn Adi said: "I have not seen any munkar (rejected) hadith from him."
