Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 259

Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "In the heaven there is an angel named 'Isma'il'. He is in charge of seventy thousand angels, and each one of them (each of those seventy thousand angels) is in charge of (a further) seventy thousand angels."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir; its chain contains a narrator, Abu Harun, whose name is Umarah bin Juwayn, and he is extremely da'if (weak).
