وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِذَا اسْتَفْتَحَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَرْفَعْ يَدَيْهِ وَلْيَسْتَقْبِلْ بِبَاطِنِهِمَا الْقِبْلَةَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ أَمَامَهُ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ : عُمَيْرُ بْنُ عِمْرَانَ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When one of you begins the prayer, let him raise his hands and turn his palms towards the qiblah, for Allah Almighty is in front of him."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Umayr bin Imran, who is da'if (weak).
