وَعَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ قَالَ : مَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَخْرُجُ مِنْ بَيْتِهِ لِشَيْءٍ مِنَ الصَّلَوَاتِ حَتَّى يَسْتَاكَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَرِجَالُهُ مُوَثَّقُونَ .

Sayyiduna Zayd bin Khalid al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would use the miswak before leaving his house for prayer and the like.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its narrators have been declared trustworthy.
