وَعَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " " أَمَرَنِي جِبْرِيلُ بِالسِّوَاكِ حَتَّى ظَنَنْتُ أَنْ سَأَدْرَدُ " رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ : عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Jibril instructed me to use the miswak until I thought that I would lose my teeth."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Ubaydullah bin Waqid, who is da'if (weak).
