وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ : مَرَرْتُ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَسَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَأَشَارَ إِلَيَّ .
قُلْتُ : لِابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ فِي الصَّحِيحِ : أَنَّهُ سَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِ فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيْهِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَالصَّغِيرِ وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
قُلْتُ : لِابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ فِي الصَّحِيحِ : أَنَّهُ سَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِ فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيْهِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَالصَّغِيرِ وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) relates: I passed by the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and greeted him with salam, and he replied to me with a gesture. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: The hadith of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) is reported in the Sahih that he greeted the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with salam and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not reply to him.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and al-Mu'jam al-Saghir, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
