Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 2428

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "When one of you stands to perform the prayer, he should remain turned toward the prayer until he finishes it. Avoid looking around during the prayer, for as long as a man is in the state of prayer, he is speaking intimately with his Lord."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains al-Waqidi, who is da'if (weak).
