وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - صَلَّى صَلَاةً فَالْتَبَسَ عَلَيْهِ فِيهَا، فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قَالَ لِأُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ : " أَصَلَّيْتَ مَعَنَا ؟ " قَالَ : نَعَمْ قَالَ : " فَمَا مَنَعَكَ أَنْ تَفْتَحَ عَلَيَّ " .
قُلْتُ : رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ خَلَا قَوْلَهُ : " أَنْ تَفْتَحَ عَلَيَّ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَرِجَالُهُ مُوَثَّقُونَ .
قُلْتُ : رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ خَلَا قَوْلَهُ : " أَنْ تَفْتَحَ عَلَيَّ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَرِجَالُهُ مُوَثَّقُونَ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led a prayer, and during the prayer he became confused (in the recitation). When he had completed it, he asked Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him): "Did you pray with us?" He said: "Yes." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then why did you not prompt me?" (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Abu Dawud recorded this narration, but he did not record these words: "Why did you not prompt me?"
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its narrators have been declared trustworthy.
