وَعَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ أَنَّ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ كَانَ لَا يُصَلِّي أَوْ لَا يَسْجُدُ إِلَّا عَلَى الْأَرْضِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَأَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنْ أَبِيهِ .

Abu Ubaydah narrates: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) would offer prayer only on the ground (the narrator is in doubt; perhaps the words are:) would prostrate only on the ground.
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; the narrator Abu Ubaydah did not hear from his father.
