Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Dreams are glad tidings from Allah Almighty, and they are one of the seventy parts of prophethood. This fire of yours is one part of the seventy parts of the scorching heat of Hell. Whoever comes to the mosque and waits for the prayer is counted as being in prayer as long as ritual impurity does not befall him; and whoever waits for one prayer after another is counted as being in prayer as long as ritual impurity does not befall him."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Ubayd bin Ishaq al-Attar, who is matruk (abandoned). Abu Hatim regarded him favourably, and Imam Ibn Hibban (may Allah have mercy on him) mentioned him in the book al-Thiqat and stated that he narrates gharib (unusual) reports.
