وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يَتَوَضَّأُ فَيُحْسِنُ الْوُضُوءَ ، ثُمَّ يَمْشِي إِلَى بَيْتٍ مِنْ بُيُوتِ اللَّهِ يُصَلِّي فِيهِ صَلَاةً مَكْتُوبَةً إِلَّا كُتِبَ لَهُ بِكُلِّ خُطْوَةٍ حَسَنَةٌ ، وَتُمْحَى عَنْهُ بِالْأُخْرَى سَيِّئَةٌ وَيُرْفَعُ لَهُ بِالْأُخْرَى دَرَجَةٌ " .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى وَفِيهِ عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى بْنُ أَبِي الْمُسَاوِرِ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no Muslim who performs ablution and does it well, then walks to one of the houses of Allah (that is, a mosque) and offers an obligatory prayer in it, except that for one step a good deed is recorded for him, for another step a sin of his is erased, and for another step he is raised one degree."
