بَابٌ فِيمَنْ دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ لِغَيْرِ صَلَاةٍ وَنَحْوِ ذَلِكَ .

وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " سَيَكُونُ فِي آخِرِ الزَّمَانِ قَوْمٌ يَجْلِسُونَ فِي الْمَسَاجِدِ حِلَقًا حِلَقًا ، أَمَامَهُمُ الدُّنْيَا فَلَا تُجَالِسُوهُمْ فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ لِلَّهِ فِيهِمْ حَاجَةٌ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ، وَفِيهِ بَزِيعٌ أَبُو الْخَلِيلِ وَنُسِبَ إِلَى الْوَضْعِ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "In the last times there will be people who sit in the mosques in circles, whose aim will be the world. Do not sit with these people, for Allah Almighty will have no need of them."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Bazi' Abu al-Khalil, who has been accused of fabricating hadith.
