Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 2028

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, the houses of Allah on earth are the mosques, and it is binding upon Allah Almighty to honour the one who visits."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Abdullah bin Ya'qub al-Kirmani, who is da'if (weak). I say: The hadith of Sayyiduna Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) about walking to the mosques will come later.
