وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُصَلِّي حَيْثُ مَا دَنَا مِنَ الْبَيْتِ فَقَالَتْ لَهُ عَائِشَةُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ رُبَّمَا صَلَّيْتَ فِي الْمَكَانِ الَّذِي تَمُرُّ فِيهِ الْحَائِضُ فَلَوْ أَنَّكَ اتَّخَذْتَ مَسْجِدًا تُصَلِّي فِيهِ ؟ فَقَالَ : " عَجَبًا لَكِ يَا عَائِشَةُ ، أَمَا عَلِمْتِ أَنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ تُطَهِّرُ سَجْدَتُهُ مَوْضِعَهَا إِلَى سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ضَعَّفَهُ الْجُمْهُورُ ، وَقَالَ عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ : ثِقَةٌ مَأْمُونٌ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ضَعَّفَهُ الْجُمْهُورُ ، وَقَالَ عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ : ثِقَةٌ مَأْمُونٌ .
Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray in the nearby part of the house. Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) submitted to him: "O Messenger of Allah, sometimes you pray at a place where a menstruating woman has passed. It would be more fitting if you set aside a place for prayer where you would pray." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Aishah, I am surprised at you! Do you not know that the prostration of a believer purifies that place down to the seventh earth?"
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; the narrator Abdullah bin Salih was declared da'if (weak) by the majority, while Abd al-Malik bin Shu'ayb says: He is thiqah (trustworthy) and reliable (ma'mun).
