Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 1931

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Every morning and evening the various parts of the earth call out to one another, saying: 'O neighbour, did any righteous servant pass over you who prayed on you or remembered Allah?' If the other part says: 'Yes,' it considers itself, on that account, to have superiority over the other."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; the narrator Salih al-Murri is da'if (weak).
