Majma al-Zawaid 191 — This statement of the Prophet ﷺ: A servant
عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ - عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " لَا يَبْلُغُ عَبْدٌ حَقِيقَةَ الْإِيمَانِ حَتَّى يَعْلَمَ أَنَّ مَا أَصَابَهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ لِيُخْطِئَهُ ، وَمَا أَخْطَأَهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ لِيُصِيبَهُ " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَقَالَ : إِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .

Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "A servant cannot reach the reality of faith until he knows that whatever is to reach him will not fail to reach him, and whatever is not to reach him will never reach him."
Al-Bazzar recorded it and said: Its chain is hasan (good).
