بَابٌ فِيمَنْ فِي كِبْرِهِ يَدْخُلُ النَّارَ .

وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ : نَزَلَتْ : " يَاأَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوا رَبَّكُمْ " إِلَى قَوْلِهِ : " عَذَابَ اللَّهِ شَدِيدٌ " عَلَى النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فِي مَسِيرٍ لَهُ فَرَفَعَ بِهَا صَوْتَهُ حَتَّى ثَابَ إِلَيْهِ أَصْحَابُهُ ، فَقَالَ : " أَتَدْرُونَ أَيَّ يَوْمٍ هَذَا ؟ يَوْمَ يَقُولُ اللَّهُ لِآدَمَ : قُمْ فَابْعَثْ بَعْثًا إِلَى النَّارِ مِنْ كُلِّ أَلْفٍ تِسْعُمِائَةٍ وَتِسْعَةٌ وَتِسْعُونَ إِلَى النَّارِ ، وَوَاحِدٌ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ " . فَكَبُرَ ذَلِكَ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " سَدِّدُوا وَقَارِبُوا وَأَبْشِرُوا ، فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ ، مَا أَنْتُمْ فِي النَّاسِ إِلَّا كَالشَّامَةِ فِي جَنْبِ الْبَعِيرِ ، أَوْ كَالرَّقْمَةِ فِي ذِرَاعِ الدَّابَّةِ ، إِنَّ مَعَكُمْ لَخَلِيقَتَيْنِ مَا كَانَتَا فِي شَيْءٍ قَطُّ إِلَّا كَثَّرَتَاهُ : يَأْجُوجُ وَمَأْجُوجُ ، وَمَنْ هَلَكَ مِنْ كَفَرَةِ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنْسِ " . رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ غَيْرَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَهْدِيٍّ ، وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) states: This verse was revealed (Allah Almighty says): "O people, fear your Lord." The verse continues up to: "But the punishment of Allah Almighty is severe." This verse was revealed to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) during a journey. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) raised his voice, until his Companions gathered around him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do you know what kind of day that will be? On that day Allah Almighty will say to Sayyiduna Adam (peace be upon him): 'Rise and send nine hundred and ninety-nine out of every thousand to Hell, and send one to Paradise.'" The narrator states: The Muslims were greatly distressed by this. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Keep to what is right, be moderate, and receive glad tidings! By the One in whose Hand is my soul, your example compared with other people is like a mole on the side of a camel, or a raised mark on the foreleg of an animal. With you are two kinds of creation which, whoever they are joined with, they make them greater in number: they are Ya'juj and Ma'juj (Gog and Magog), and those disbelievers among the jinn and mankind who have perished."
Abu Ya'la recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih except Muhammad bin Mahdi, and he is thiqah (trustworthy).
