وَعَنْ مَعْقِلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " لَا يَأْذَنُ اللَّهُ لِشَيْءٍ إِذْنَهُ لِلْأَذَانِ وَالصَّوْتِ الْحَسَنِ بِالْقُرْآنِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ سَلَّامٌ الطَّوِيلُ وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ " .

Sayyiduna Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty does not give attention to anything as much as He gives attention to the adhan and to the recitation of the Qur'an in a beautiful voice."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Sallam al-Tawil, and he is matruk (abandoned).
