Sayyiduna Wathilah bin al-Asqa' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "On the Day of Resurrection Allah Almighty will raise a servant who has no sin. Allah Almighty will say: 'Which of the two is more beloved to you: that I reward you according to your deeds, or (that I take account) for the blessing of Mine you received?' That servant will say: 'O my Lord! You know that I never disobeyed You.' The Lord will say: 'Seize My servant for one of My blessings!' That blessing will take every one of his good deeds. That servant will say: 'O my Lord! (Forgive me) by Your blessing and Your mercy!' The Lord will say: '(You are saved) by My blessing and My mercy.'" (Allamah Haythami says:) I say: After this he mentioned the whole hadith, which has already passed in the chapter on the reckoning.
