وَعَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " الْعَارُ وَالتَّخْزِيَةُ تَبْلُغُ مِنِ ابْنِ آدَمَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَا يَتَمَنَّى الْعَبْدُ أَنْ يُؤْمَرَ بِهِ فِي النَّارِ " . رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَفِيهِ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ عِيسَى الرَّقَاشِيُّ ، وَهُوَ مُجْمَعٌ عَلَى ضَعْفِهِ . قُلْتُ : وَقَدْ تَقَدَّمَ حَدِيثُ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ فِي شِدَّةِ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ أَنَّ هَذَا فِي حَقِّ الْكَافِرِ .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "On the Day of Resurrection, the son of Adam will feel such shame and disgrace that the servant will wish he were ordered into Hell."
Imam Abu Ya'la recorded it; its chain contains al-Fadl bin Isa al-Raqashi, whose weakness is agreed upon. (Allamah Haythami says:) I say: It has already passed, in the narration of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) about the severity of the Day of Resurrection, that this will be the case for the disbeliever.
