وَعَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " لَنْ تَزُولَ قَدَمَا عَبْدٍ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حَتَّى يُسْأَلَ عَنْ أَرْبَعِ خِصَالٍ : عَنْ عُمْرِهِ فِيمَا أَفْنَاهُ ، وَعَنْ شَبَابِهِ فِيمَا أَبْلَاهُ ، وَعَنْ مَالِهِ مِنْ أَيْنَ اكْتَسَبَهُ ، وَفِيمَا أَنْفَقَهُ ، وَعَنْ عِلْمِهِ مَاذَا عَمِلَ فِيهِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَالْبَزَّارُ بِنَحْوِهِ ، وَرِجَالُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ غَيْرَ صَامِتِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ ، وَعَدِيِّ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ الْكِنْدِيِّ ، وَهُمَا ثِقَتَانِ .
Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection the feet of a servant will not move from their place until he is called to account about four things: about his life, in what he spent it; about his youth, in what he wore it out; about his wealth, from where he earned it and where he spent it; and about his knowledge, how far he acted upon it."
Tabarani recorded this narration, and al-Bazzar recorded something similar to it. The narrators of Tabarani are the narrators of the Sahih except for Samit bin Mu'adh and Adi bin Adi al-Kindi, and both of them are thiqah (trustworthy).
