وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " الْمُؤَذِّنُونَ أَطْوَلُ النَّاسِ أَعْنَاقًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " . فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ أَبُو الصَّلْتِ الْبَصَرِيُّ ، قَالَ الْمِزِّيُّ : رَوَى عَنْهُ عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ غَيْرَهُ . وَقَدْ رَوَى عَنْهُ ابْنُهُ خَالِدُ بْنُ أَبِي الصَّلْتِ فِي الطَّبَرَانِيِّ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ مُوَثَّقُونَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ أَبُو الصَّلْتِ الْبَصَرِيُّ ، قَالَ الْمِزِّيُّ : رَوَى عَنْهُ عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ غَيْرَهُ . وَقَدْ رَوَى عَنْهُ ابْنُهُ خَالِدُ بْنُ أَبِي الصَّلْتِ فِي الطَّبَرَانِيِّ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ مُوَثَّقُونَ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection, the mu'adhdhins will be the people with the longest necks." Then the narrator mentioned the full hadith.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Abu al-Salt al-Basri. Al-Mizzi said: Ali bin Zayd narrated from him, and he did not mention anyone else, whereas his son Khalid bin Abi al-Salt has also narrated from him, as mentioned in al-Tabarani's work, and that is this hadith. The rest of the narrators of this report have been declared trustworthy.
