وَعَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " نِعْمَ الْمَرْءُ بِلَالٌ ، وَلَا يَتْبَعُهُ إِلَّا مُؤْمِنٌ ، وَهُوَ سَيِّدُ الْمُؤَذِّنِينَ ، وَالْمُؤَذِّنُونَ أَطْوَلُ النَّاسِ أَعْنَاقًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ حُسَامُ بْنُ مِصَكٍّ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Bilal is an excellent man, and none but a believer will follow him. He is the leader of the mu'adhdhins, and the mu'adhdhins will be the people with the longest necks on the Day of Resurrection."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Kabir and al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Husam bin Misakk, and he is da'if (weak).
