وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " مَا هَلَكَ قَوْمُ لُوطٍ إِلَّا فِي الْأَذَانِ ، وَلَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ إِلَّا فِي الْأَذَانِ " . قَالَ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ : مَعْنَاهُ عِنْدِي - وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ - : فِي وَقْتِ أَذَانِ الْفَجْرِ ، وَهُوَ وَقْتُ الِاسْتِغْفَارِ وَالدُّعَاءِ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ غَيْرَ آدَمَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ، وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The people of Sayyiduna Lut (peace be upon him) were destroyed at the time of the adhan, and the Hour too will be established at the time of the adhan." Imam al-Tabarani says: In my view its meaning, though Allah knows best, is that this will happen at the time of the Fajr adhan, and that is the time of seeking forgiveness and supplication.
