وَعَنْ أَبِي جُبَيْرَةَ بْنِ الضَّحَّاكِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " بُعِثْتُ أَنَا وَالسَّاعَةُ هَكَذَا - وَجَمَعَ بَيْنَ السَّبَّابَةِ وَالْوُسْطَى - فَسَبَقْتُهَا كَمَا سَبَقَتْ هَذِهِ هَذِهِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ بِإِسْنَادٍ حَسَنٍ .
Sayyiduna Abu Jubayrah bin al-Dahhak al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I and the Hour have been sent like this." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said this while joining his index finger and middle finger, (and then he said:) "So I have preceded it (that is, the Hour) just as this (finger) precedes this (other finger)."

عَنْ أَبِي جُبَيْرَةَ بْنِ الضَّحَّاكِ ، عَنْ أَشْيَاخٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ مِثْلَهُ . وَرِجَالُ هَذِهِ الطَّرِيقِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ غَيْرَ شِبْلٍ ، أَوْ شُبَيْلِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ ، وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Jubayrah bin al-Dahhak (may Allah be pleased with him) that he reports, through some elders of the Ansar, from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) something similar to it (the previous hadith).
All the narrators of this chain are narrators of Sahih Bukhari and Muslim, except Shibl bin Awf or Shubayl bin Awf, and he too is thiqah (trustworthy).
