وَعَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " اللَّهُمَّ حَبِّبِ الْمَوْتَ إِلَى مَنْ يَعْلَمُ أَنِّي رَسُولُكَ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Malik al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Allah! Make death beloved to whoever knows that I am Your Messenger."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Muhammad bin Isma'il bin Ayyash, who is da'if (weak).
