Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 18184

It is reported from him (that is, Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him)) that he said: "By the One besides whom there is no god, there is nothing on the face of the earth more in need of long imprisonment than the tongue."
Al-Tabarani recorded it with several chains, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
