عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " الدُّنْيَا سِجْنُ الْمُؤْمِنِ ، وَسَنَتُهُ ، فَإِذَا فَارَقَ الدُّنْيَا فَارَقَ السِّجْنَ وَالسَّنَةَ " . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ بِاخْتِصَارٍ ، وَرِجَالُ أَحْمَدَ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ غَيْرَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جُنَادَةَ ، وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The world is a prison and a (year of) famine for the believer; when he departs from the world, he departs from the prison and the famine."
