عَنْ أَبِي إِدْرِيسَ قَالَ : جَلَسْتُ مَجْلِسًا فِيهِ عِشْرُونَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَإِذَا فِيهِمْ شَابٌّ حَدِيثُ السِّنِّ ، حَسَنُ الْوَجْهِ ، فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ بِاخْتِصَارٍ . وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Imam Ahmad recorded it in abridged form from Abu Idris, who said: I was present at a gathering in which twenty Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) were also present. Among them was a young man who was young in age and handsome of face. After this the narrator transmitted the report in abridged form as before, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
