بَابُ الْمُتَحَابِّينَ فِي اللَّهِ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - .
Those who love one another for the sake of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic

وَعَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " الْمُتَحَابُّونَ فِي اللَّهِ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - فِي ظِلِّ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، يَوْمَ لَا ظِلَّ إِلَّا ظِلُّهُ ، عَلَى مَنَابِرَ مِنْ نُورٍ ، يَفْزَعُ النَّاسُ وَلَا يَفْزَعُونَ ، إِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - بِأَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ عَذَابًا ، ذَكَرَهُمْ فَصَرَفَ عَنْهُمُ الْعَذَابَ بِذِكْرِهِ إِيَّاهُمْ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ مَنْ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمْ .
Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Those who love one another for the sake of Allah Almighty will be in the shade of Allah Almighty on the Day of Resurrection, the day when there will be no shade but His shade, and they will be on pulpits made of light. When (other) people are in terror, they will not be in terror. When Allah Almighty intends to punish the people of the earth and then remembers them (those who love one another for the sake of Allah Almighty), He turns the punishment away from the people of the earth because of them."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its chain contains narrators whom I do not know.
