Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 17856

Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) relates: I said: O Messenger of Allah, how much of this world is enough for me? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whatever satisfies your hunger and covers your nakedness; and if you have a house that shades you, that is good; and if you also have a mount, then how excellent!"
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains al-Hasan bin Umarah, who is matruk (abandoned).
