وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَا ذِئْبَانِ ضَارِيَانِ فِي زَرِيبَةِ غَنَمٍ أَسْرَعُ فِيهَا فَسَادًا مِنْ طَلَبِ الْمَالِ وَالشَّرَفِ فِي دِينِ الْمَرْءِ الْمُسْلِمِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ خَالِدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْعُمَرِيُّ ، وَهُوَ كَذَّابٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If two ravenous wolves entered a sheepfold, they would not cause ruin as quickly as the pursuit of wealth and honour (ruins) the religion of a Muslim."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Khalid bin Yazid al-Umari, who is kadhdhab (a liar).
