Sayyiduna Kulayb bin Hazn (may Allah be pleased with him) states: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "O people! Seek Paradise with your utmost effort, and flee from Hell with your utmost effort, for Paradise is such that the one who seeks it does not sleep, and Hell is such that the one who strives to escape it does not sleep. Beware! Today (that is, in the world) the Hereafter has been surrounded by hardships, and the world has been surrounded by desires."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat he recorded it in abridged form from this Companion; its chain contains Mu'alla bin al-Ashdaq, who is extremely da'if (weak).
