Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 17661

Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever seeks fame, Allah Almighty will expose his desire for fame; and whoever shows off, Allah Almighty will expose his desire to show off."
Ahmad, al-Bazzar and al-Tabarani recorded it, and their chains are hasan (good).
