Amir bin Abdullah bin al-Zubayr states: I came to my father, and he asked me: Where were you? I replied: I found some people; I have not seen better people than them. They remember Allah Almighty until one of them trembles so much that it seems he will faint from the fear of Allah. I sat with them. My father said: Do not sit with them after this. Then he looked at me and felt that perhaps I had not paid attention to his words, so he said: "I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions reciting the Qur'an, yet this condition did not come over them. Do you then think that these people fear Allah Almighty more than Sayyiduna Abu Bakr and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both)?" The narrator states: When I considered it, it was indeed so, so I left them.
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Abdullah bin Mus'ab bin Thabit, and he is da'if (weak).
