Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 1739

Abdul Rahman bin Yazid narrates: We were with Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) on the road to Makkah. When the sun set, he said: This is ghasaq al-layl (the darkening of the night). Then he called the adhan, and then he said: By the One besides whom there is no god, this is the time of this prayer.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its chain is hasan (good).
